On 12 October 2003 a surf fisherman found a burned body in the dune scrub south of Salvo. Female, thirties, no identification. The sheriff worked it for four months and filed it as Jane Doe. In 2019 a state cold-case unit took the box. Your first objective is not the killer. It is her name.
